We all know how fantastic toothpaste is for its fluoride-filled teeth cleaning properties but that humble old tube of stuff has more uses than you may know!
SAVING YOUR SCREEN!
With all of us touchscreen crazy in technology nowadays, most have been plagued by the cracks or scratches on our precious devices. Toothpaste to the rescue! Lightly rub the screen with toothpaste using a cotton cloth and then wipe clean using a second cotton cloth. This protects screen from damage.
LOVING YOUR LEATHER!
If your leather shoes or jackets are scuffed and unsightly, don’t be tempted to get rid! Just dab on a bit of toothpaste to the scuffed area and rub with a soft cloth. Then with a damp cloth wipe the area clean and your leather should be clean and shiny and looking like new. This will also work for stains on trainers.
CLEANING FOR A FINE TUNE!
All piano players will know how grubby piano keys can get after much use. Grab an old toothbrush and your toothpaste and give them a scrub then wipe down with a damp cloth! This will leave pianos both old and modern looking bright and ready for a tune!
MIRROR, MIRROR..
Did you know that with a coating of non gel toothpaste on your bathroom mirror, this will stop it from fogging up at bath or shower time! Wipe it off before you get in the shower and hey presto the mirror is clear to use when you get out and it will refrain from having streaks that appear from condensation!
CREATIVE KIDS AND THEIR CRAYONS!
As parents as much as we all love seeing our kids budding creativity, we cringe when we come in to see that its gone from the paper to the walls! Never fear! Grab the tube of non gel toothpaste and give a squirt to the wall and give it a gentle scrub with a nail or scrubbing brush and then wipe with a damp cloth and the crayon will be no more.
SHINE UP YOUR SINKS AND SILVER!
When silver looks dull give it a polish with some toothpaste on a soft cloth and bring it back to life with a beautiful shine! For silver items with crevices simply use an old toothbrush to get into all the nooks and crannies. Sinks also love to shine so when you have finished brushing your teeth and there are some blobs of toothpaste in the sink, grab a soft cloth and rub it into the sink and you will leave it looking ship shape and shiny! This will also work with jewellery, giving your precious metals a new looking gleam!
Maybe you have some more tips for toothpaste that you can tell us about!
